RCI Silver Anniversary Report (Product Unavailable for Purchase)
From the genesis of an idea forming in the
mind of Robert W. Lyons in 1979, grew an organization that numbered
2,500 members by 2008, when it celebrated the 25th year of its
"official" May 1983 birth. The RCI Silver Anniversary Report is a review
- sometimes whimsical, often matter-of-fact-of the reported history of
those 25 years, gleaned primarily from the pages of the association's
technical journal, Interface, and its member newsletters, RCItems and
Base Sheet.
The 82-page booklet is full of a quarter century of
happenings in the industry's pre-eminent roofing, waterproofing, and
building envelope association. Smattered with photographs, historical
landmarks, and years of good intentions- some fulfilled, some not-the
book chronicles the birth, adolescence, and coming-of- age of RCI, Inc.
The Report briefly reviews the First Five Years covered more thoroughly
in William Correll's seminal history of that name, then more broadly
covers the ensuing two decades up to 2008.
Longstanding and new
members of RCI will cherish a copy of this nostalgic gem for their
bookshelves. Sure to become a collectors' item.
