STONE & GLAZING CONSULTING, LLC a nationally recognized Exterior Wall-Building Envelope Consulting Firm located in Flower Mound, Texas, is seeking experienced Architects/Engineers/Consultants and individuals with measurable experience in Commercial Construction, Design, and Forensics to perform investigations, testing, remediation design, and project management.

Work involves project management, design, testing, forensic study, and remediation of exterior wall and roofing systems.

  • Must be able to work in a team environment, work well with customers, and possess excellent communication skills.  Strong writing and computer skills are essential.  

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Represent the Owner by observing and documenting the progress and quality of the work being performed by contractors.
  • Prepare/assist in the preparation of surveys that document, evaluate, and recommend solutions for building envelope defects.
  • Participate in development and drafting of remediation design details.
  • Provide opinions of cost for recommended repair efforts.
  • Provide contract administration services during construction to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
  • Supervise and participate in development and drafting of design details.

 Minimum Requirements:

  • Five (5) years’ experience in commercial construction or consulting administration, construction project management, or construction project representation
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field
  • Excellent communication, computer, writing, and technical report preparation skills
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office:  Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to work with digital images—sorting, modifying, importing into documents
  • Ability to work on roofs and building facades from swing stage equipment

 Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience with:  Building rehabilitation and waterproofing systems; rehabilitation of deteriorated masonry, reinforced concrete, and steel structures; both invasive and nondestructive testing techniques; and coatings, waterproofing membranes, sealers, corrosion inhibitors.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD
